Over the past decade, laser technology has deeply penetrated core sectors such as industrial manufacturing, healthcare, and new energy with revolutionary innovations. Precedence Research predicts that the global laser market will exceed US$25.92 billion by 2025, with a double-digit compound annual growth rate. China's laser industry will continue to experience rapid growth, potentially exceeding 650 billion yuan by 2028. This growth is driven not only by the surge in demand for high precision and high efficiency in traditional industrial processing but also by the explosion of cutting-edge applications in aerospace, automotive manufacturing, medical devices, and ultrafast laser micromachining. Laser technology is evolving from a 'tool-based product' to a 'strategic technology ecosystem,' continuously forging new productivity for the industry and stimulating its high-quality development.
By 2025, the laser industry will usher in three major disruptive factors: 1) Material innovation: The mass production of gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductor lasers will drive a 40% cost reduction for consumer electronics and automotive lidar. 2) The integration of digital and intelligent technologies: Laser equipment manufacturing is moving towards intelligence. Through the application of big data analysis and artificial intelligence algorithms, laser equipment can achieve self-diagnosis, process optimization, and intelligent scheduling, further improving production efficiency and processing quality, adapting to the future development trend of intelligent manufacturing. 3) Green, low-carbon, and sustainable transformation: Laser manufacturing will adopt a low-energy consumption approach and be used for green development, playing a significant role in the manufacture of new energy vehicles and solar cells, contributing to global carbon neutrality goals. At the same time, laser equipment companies, following a 'technology + scenario' approach, are gradually transforming from single equipment suppliers to 'comprehensive intelligent manufacturing solution providers.'
This 'Laser Technology Innovation and Application Forum' will invite core companies in the domestic and international laser industry chain, experts from key research institutes and universities, and downstream application companies to discuss topics such as the expansion of laser technology applications, changes in the market competition landscape, and sustainable development.
